和菓子の日　WAGASHI DAY

平安時代（794-1192）に蔓延した疫病を祓うため、

848年6月16日に16個の菓子や餅を神前に供え

厄除けや招福を願ったことが起源。

There was an epidemic in Japan during the Heian Period (794-1192)
In order to ameliorate the severity of the epidemic,
people offered 16 sweets and rice cakes at a shrine,
wishing for happiness and avoidance of bad luck.

夏らしい上生菓子で和菓子の日を堪能します。

今年の和菓子は・・・右からきんとんの花手鞠で紫陽花を表現。

中は小倉山の衣がえ。着物の袖のたもとをイメージしたもの。

そして左はくず桜。こしあんを葛でつつんだ夏の代表的な涼菓。

涼しげなガラスに乗せ、鮮やかな緑のもみじの葉は・・生け花の代わり。

和菓子と共に頂くお抹茶はサイコウ！！

平たい形のお茶碗は夏のお茶席で使われるもの。

冷たいお抹茶もいいですね。

手描きの朝顔が可愛くてお気に入り。

日本人ですもの、季節の移り変わりに敏感でありたいですね。

This is a vivid fuchsia pink color vintage kimono coat.
A fine silk crape jacquard weave with velvety texture.
It's always difficult to think about of a new design with
kimono material in small amounts.

ただ、生地分量は少ないのでいつも計算しながら何を作るか考えます。

being monochromatic.

大胆な牡丹の地模様が華やかさをアップさせてくれます。

織地でここまで表現できるなんてスゴイ！

無地ながら、存在感はバツグンです。

I made this vivid colored kimono coat into wide-maxi-culotte-trousers.

The hems of these look gorgeous like a butterfly fluttering and dancing when you walk.

Tight hips with spread hem silhouette enhances your figure.

この鮮やかなお着物からつくったのはマキシワイドキュロット。

歩く時には裾がひらひらして蝶が舞ってるかのようにゴージャス。

裾広がりのシルエットが小尻で足長なスタイルに見せてくれます。 

（ワタシは黒バージョンを愛用してます♡）

I would choose unique shaped heel wedge sandals.

How about high-impact pedicure with gold wave strappy sandals? 

サンダルはヒールの形がユニークな物を選んで。

足首の上まであるストラップがヌーディーな印象です。

インパクトのあるネイルカラーが良く映えそう☆

I've never seen such a colorful cloth material these days.

People in the past once used to use colorful material for lining.

It would be nice coordinate with some simple items.

こんなカラフルな色柄、普通の布地でもあまり見かけないですよね。

昔はお着物の裏地に使っていたなんて、大胆でオシャレ♡

Vintage Rose&Peony Jacquard Kimono Remake Wide Maxi Culotte Trousers with White Tunic Blouse [Sky-Blue]

This is a vintage Kimono I bought before.
This sky-blue kimono has a feeling of being cool and fresh in summer
with its gorgeous Rose&Peony jacquard weave 
using soft silk material.

だいぶ前に買って置いたヴィンテージのお着物。
爽やかな色が涼しげで夏に着るにはぴったり。
大きな牡丹と薔薇の織地が華やかでしょ？
柔らかい絹地の綸子です。

 

I made this kimono into wide-maxi-culotte-trousers 

which I find extremely comfortable to wear.

This Type of material does not stick to your skin and

makes for excellent wear in summer.

これでワイドマキシキュロットにしてみました。
履いてみると着心地の良さが病みつきになるのよねぇ。
暑い時はつかずはなれずのさらっと感が一番いい。

Coordinate with white tunic blouse.

This one is also from kimono, too.

Lucky symbols on Jacquard silk weave.

Looks good with a necklace having volume and

a corsage for party.

It can be coordinate for casual wear or when or 

when dressing-up.

マキシキュロットの色に合わせて、白をトップスに合わせてみる。

このトップスも着物生地から。

吉祥紋の地模様がある絹地です。

コサージュを付けて大ぶりなアクセサリーを合わせると

パーティスタイルに。

それぞれスタイリング次第でカジュアルにもドレッシーにも使える

便利なセットアップです。

 

I would choose flat sandals for casual use,and dress-up with gorgeous wedges.

カジュアルなら断然フラットサンダルなんだけど、

マキシ丈の足元はこんなコロンとしたウエッジヒールを合わせたい。

And if it's for a party, a clear material clutch bag such as the one below,

which is like a fragment of cold ice, would be nice!!

そしてパーティ仕様なら、クリア素材のクラッチを。

氷の欠片を手にしているようで涼しげ☆

Vintage Satin Jacquard Kimono Coat Remake Flared Maxi Dress [Crimson]

My favorite diva J.Lo was wearing crimson dress from Gucci.

It was sooo gorgeous and I wanted to make the dress.

大好きなJ.Loが着てたGucciの深紅のドレス。

あまりにもゴージャスだったので、作ってみたくなりました。

The color reminds me that I have the kimono in my drawer and I found it.

(the photo can not show the color well..)

It's not chiffon material but gorgeous satin jacquard.

The Pattern is called Tachibana, like orange and paulownia.

そういえば似てる色があったはず！（うまく色が出なかったけど・・）

と思い出し、タンスの中を捜索。

そして着物コートだった1着を発見。

ヴィンテージ着物ならではの大柄なサテンジャカードが素敵。

橘（オレンジみたいなもの）と桐が描かれています。

It's always the bare textile of kimono which plays 

an important part in remake a dress.

Adapting patterns to textile is a major challenge!!

And here is the dress.

It create a beautiful train flare silhouette when you walk. 

Of course it's silk material and very soft texture.

フルレングスのドレスに仕立て直すのには生地がかなりギリギリだった！

ってゆうかむしろ足りないくらいで・・。

型紙と生地を合わせていくのはパズルみたいでかなり頭を使います。

なんとか出来上がったのがこちら。

後ろが長くなった、フレアスカートが歩いた時にとてもキレイ☆

絹地ならではの柔らかさがシルエットにもちゃんと出ました。

I would pick a gold color for the accent color.

The pair of sandals are platform and pin heels- a trademark of YSL.

Charming strap copper color of 『Tribute』.

アクセントカラーはゴールド、

サンダルはプラットフォームにピンヒールがトレードマークのYSLを。

ストラップが魅力の『トリビュート』のコパーをチョイスしたい。

The bodies is a sexy bare front and back.

With cute big bow on back.

おなかと背中が大胆に開いたデザインになりました。

大きなリボンが可愛さも残して。

How about this edgy clutch bag instead of precious stones?

The clutch bag with decorative skull ring cannot be ignored!!

SOOOO GORGEOUS☆☆☆

指輪の代わりにこんなエッジィなクラッチバッグはいかが？

デコラティブな指輪と一体になったクラッチは
